The PLUS service costs $8/month and lets you appear from any country, you can connect five devices at once, you get the best speeds, access to exclusive servers, additional protections via Secure Core routing, and the ability to send your traffic through Tor. The BASIC tier is $4/month and allows you to appear as though you are in any of the countries provided by ProtonVPN, you can connect two devices simultaneously, and you’re given high speeds. The FREE tier allows you to connect to three different countries, from one device, but only offers low speeds. There are three paid tiers available and one free tier, the latter will require you to wait on a list while they scale their servers to handle the load. The service is now available to the general public meaning anyone can sign up for the first time following four months of beta testing by over 10,000 members of the ProtonMail community. After more than a year in development, the team behind the privacy-oriented ProtonMail has launched ProtonVPN.
